Overview
Physical Form
Kasdeja moves differently from the others. No thunder, no fire. He arrives as pressure — a change in the air that animals sense before men do. His form when manifested is tall and lean, skin the colour of old venom: pale green-black with a sub-surface iridescence. His eyes are fixed vertical slits, enormous, unblinking, ancient. The wings fold tight against him like a viper coiling. Where he stands, insects die. Where he breathes, the ground goes cold.
What He Taught
According to 1 Enoch 69:12: 'The name of the fifth is Kasdeja: this is he who showed the children of men all the wicked smitings of spirits and demons, and the smitings of the embryo in the womb, that it may pass away, and [the smitings of the soul] the bite of the serpent, and the smitings which befall through the noontide heat.' He did not teach combat. He taught the invisible wound — illness, poison, miscarriage, the demon that rides the noon wind. The suffering no sword can answer.
Threat Level
Kasdeja is the most insidious of the named Watchers because his gift cannot be unmade. Azazel's weapons can be destroyed. Gadreel's deceptions can be countered. Kasdeja's knowledge — how to smite a soul through spirit-agency, how to end a life before it begins — became the foundation of every curse tradition in the ancient world. He is the reason affliction exists as a category of warfare. Every wasting disease, every infant lost, every mind that breaks under invisible weight — these are his inheritance.
